i remember being a nihilist felt special, like i was interesting compared to everyone else. i clinged to my cynicism and held it like a baby. pessimism made me the only one that saw reality clearly. i know a lot of people in this phase of life. sometimes this old version of me pops up. when she does, instead of being resentful to her, i just let her pass by. she helped me through a lot.
